Job Description: I18n QA Engineer
Symantec Localization department is looking for a QA Engineer for our new team
which is going to be located in Warsaw, Poland.
Role Purpose
This role will require people who are very skilled and committed to improving
the overall level of software quality in all Symantec product lines.
The position will involve testing at the same level as base team engineers,
with as much exposure to raw components & functionality as the base team
engineers have. We're looking for very fast learners, as you will be expected
to become an expert across several functional areas on several platforms. You
will also develop core security skills.
Key Requirements:
- Quality Assurance knowledge, software testing experience
- Windows 2000 & 2003 & XP knowledge and experience (MCP, MCSE or MCSA will be
additional asset)
- Knowledge and experience of UNIX systems (like Redhat, Solaris, AIX & HP-UX)
- Knowledge of database (DB2, Oracle or SQL - installing, configuring and using)
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (C, C#, C++, VB) and script
languages (perl, awk, sh, bash, etc.) will be additional asset
- Team player
- Good English (communication and technical)
